Not many people can make a 30-plus-year career out of doing the thing they love the best, but Dick Bremer has done just that.
Early in his career, Dick worked at KCLD Radio in St. Cloud. He later was a sportscaster at WTCN-TV in 1981and ‘82.
Dick began his Twins broadcast career in 1983 and through the years has done play-by-play for Spectrum Sports, Twinsvision, Midwest Sports Channel, Fox Sports North, and various over-the-air channels. The Staples High School and St. Cloud State graduate has also been the voice of Big Ten and University of Minnesota basketball, football and hockey along with more than fifteen years doing play-by-play for the Minnesota State High School League Prep Bowl and girls and boys basketball tournaments. His distinctive voice, his love and knowledge of the game, his talent for broadcasting and his loyalty to his home state created a body of work that resonated with fans and players alike. For a boy growing up in tiny Dumont, Minnesota, who loved to play and watch baseball, Dick Bremer can be proud of his contributions to the game, the team and the fans.
